FOUNDER STORY
A qualified accountant who's spent a career translating numbers into decisions.
Martin is a CIMA-qualified management accountant with a background in finance leadership across military and complex civilian organisations — environments where decisions get made under pressure and the numbers have to be right.
Over the years he supported budget holders, commanders and senior decision-makers by turning dense financial data into short, clear briefings people could actually act on. That habit — strip the jargon, keep the substance — became the founding idea behind Smart AI Accounting.
He founded the practice to bring that same clarity to UK business owners. Too many contractors, consultants and small companies inherit a compliance service and a filing cabinet, but no real understanding of their own financial position. Smart AI Accounting exists to fix that — using modern cloud tools and an unashamedly human explanation of what the numbers mean.
